Disorganization

One of my New Year's resolutions was to try to be more organized. Sadly, I don't think I've made much headway on this one. Believe it or not, I used to be a pretty organized person, but ever since having a baby four and a half years ago, that all seems to have flown out the window.

Don't get me wrong, I was never one of those people who shopped for Christmas gifts six months early, or picked up random bat mitzvah or first communion gifts just to have on hand (I'm not making this up...I used to work with someone who did this), but I used to be able to manage to get thank you notes out in a timely fashion and not to forget to pay at least one bill every few months. I basically threw the plan and execution for Eden's first birthday party together a week before the event because I couldn't get my act together any sooner. I'm pretty sure I was planning Sadie's by the time she was six weeks old. I used to make lists and get a feeling of satisfaction out of being able to cross things off my lists. Now...I *think* about making lists, but usually get sidetracked on something else and then forget about it.

Oh well, nobody's perfect, I guess. My other two resolutions were to get in better shape and to make more time for myself. I'm doing well on both of those, so I guess two out of three ain't bad.
