Eden peed on the toilet this weekend!
About two months ago, she started telling us right before she pooped. Although people say that's a sign of readiness, I chose to ignore it, as I find potty training exhausting, and frankly, at this age, probably more work than it is worth. We waited so long with Sadie (just shy of three) and training her was such a breeze, I had assumed we'd go the same route with Eden, but she seems to have other plans.
So, in the last week or so, she has been running to the bathroom and banging on the door saying "poop!" or "peepee!" and so I was starting to feel negligent for ignoring her. So, I've put her on a few times and it is mostly a big waste of time (she just starts unraveling the paper roll or trying to flush). But, the other night, she wanted to go in and poop. While she was sitting on there, she starting pushing, got all red in the face (did I mention she was a little constipated?) and out came some pee.
So, we praised her and as of this entry, it has now been 'noted down in the book', but I wouldn't really say we're 'potty training' just yet. Just experimenting.
Anyway, yay for Eden!
