There was a really compelling story in the New York Times yesterday about a woman who had been reunited with her biological family 24 years after being kidnapped as a "child of war" from El Salvador.
After living her life in the comfort of a Massachusetts suburb, she had this incredible and emotional journey to find the family that had been mourning her loss for all these years. It boggles my mind, the amazing powers of DNA testing. So, while I usually conjure up courtroom scenes from ‘Law and Order’ or the latest headline about the many potential fathers of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby when I hear the term DNA, it is nice to have a warm and fuzzy association with it. And, a happy ending. :)
