You know you're a parent when...(beach edition)

You so very diligently apply sunscreen to every square inch of your child's body and forget to get your own damn self.

You pack enough nutritious snacks and juice boxes to keep the kids eating continuously from the time you get to the beach until the time you leave, and forget to bring a bottle of water for yourself.

You willingly go running into the water, even though you just put your shorts on over your suit, to rescue "my favorite" sand toy from the surf that has just snatched it and is about to send it to Bermuda.

You play endless games of paddle ball with a four year old who, for the life of her, can't manage to hit the damn ball back to you. even. one. stinking. time.
