I think this is pretty cool: TripWiser - social trip planner for the USA and Canada. You can use this site to view and build itineraries based on the experiences of other people. They have the trips broken down into categories (e.g., Family, Couples, Budget, Adventure...and so on). You can select a trip to view, and then customize it to make it your own. Pretty convenient for busy people, I think. The interface is really easy to use, too. Lots of drag and drop functionality, which I really like. Definitely bookmark this one to keep accessible when you're planning your next trip.
